Oil Free Salad Dressing


If you want to reduce the fat in your diet, one good way is to dress your salads with this easy to make oil free dressing. Using a creamy yogurt base combined with spicy mustard, fresh garlic and sweet fruit juice, this dressing is packed with flavor.

Yield: Approximately 1 cup



You will need 4 ingredients:

- Nonfat Plain Yogurt
- Prepared Spicy Brown Mustard
- Fresh Garlic
- Orange Juice (you may also substitute
lemon, lime or red grapefruit juice)

Ingredients:

nonfat plain yogurt – 1 cup

prepared spicy brown mustard – 2 tsp

fresh garlic – 1 clove minced

orange juice – 1/4 cup

In a bowl or jar with tight fitting lid, whisk or shake all ingredients until well combine. Refrigerate until ready to use.

Quick Salad Ideas - Salad Dressing Serving Suggestions:

Pasta Dressing:

** Serve this easy dressing over pasta. Toss dressing with warm rice noodles, steamed mushrooms, broccoli and red peppers. Add some warm garlic bread or garlic breadsticks for a quick meal for lunch or dinner.

Spinach Salad Dressing:

** You can also serve this quick dressing recipe on a spinach salad. Layer fresh washed baby spinach leaves with red onion rings, sliced tomatoes and drained water-packed tuna. Spoon dressing over the top and garnish with baked croutons.

Oil Free Dip Recipe:

** You can also serve this simple dressing as a dip along with pita chips, vegetable crudités or toasted sourdough bread cubes.
