Greek Salad Recipe:

A quick and flavorful salad recipe with all the great tastes you've come to know.

Feta cheese, olives, fresh basil and fresh vegetables all combine for the taste of a great Greek salad.

It stands alone as a light meal or is easily a salad recipe that compliments any meat or fish entree.

2-3 servings (as a main dish)


You will need 8 ingredients:

- Lettuce Greens
- Tomatoes
- Cucumbers
- Black Olives
- Feta Cheese
- Fresh Basil
- Olive Oil
- Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice

Ingredients:

lettuce greens - 6 cups washed and torn into pieces

tomatoes - 1 cup diced

cucumbers - 1 cup diced

black olives - 1/2 cup diced

feta cheese - 1/4 - 1/2 cup crumbled

fresh basil - 6 large leaves torn into pieces

olive oil - 1 tbsp

fresh squeezed lemon juice - 2 tbsp

1. In a bowl, combine all the salad ingredients, reserving the olive oil and lemon juice.

2. Combine the olive oil and lemon juice in a small mixing bowl and whisk to combine.

3. Pour dressing over the salad and toss again to coat evenly.

This a a very refreshing quick salad recipe that is simple to make anytime.

Quick and Light Meal Ideas:

** Serve our Greek salad with warm crusty fresh bread slices and a simple spread of butter or cream cheese.

** Another easy way to serve this ethnic salad is scooped into an avocado half with melon slices on the side.

Main Meal Idea:

**Serve Greek salad along side your favorite meat entree or fish entree and steamed potatoes drizzled with lemon juice and olive oil.

** You could also serve this quick salad with a bowl of warm pasta tossed with fresh grated cheese and fresh chopped cilantro and garlic toast on the side.
