Broccoli Cauliflower Salad Recipe:

A crisp and crunchy broccoli cauliflower salad tossed in a simple dressing with oriental flavor accents.


Tamari soy sauce, toasted sesame oil and the clean citrus taste of lemon juice blend beautifully with broccoli, cauliflower and mushrooms to create this easy and delicious vegetable salad.

Make this cauliflower broccoli salad a light meal or a main entrée. See the easy menu planner for some great quick meal ideas.

2-3 servings




You will need 6 ingredients:
- Broccoli
- Cauliflower
- Mushrooms
- Tamari Soy Sauce
- Toasted Sesame Oil
- Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice

Ingredients:
fresh broccoli – 2 cups (washed) and cut medium dice

fresh cauliflower – 2 cups (washed) and cut medium dice

fresh mushrooms – 3/4 cup (cleaned) and sliced

tamari soy sauce – 1 tbsp

toasted sesame oil – 1 tbsp

fresh squeezed lemon juice – 1 tbsp

1. In a mixing bowl, place all the vegetables and set aside.

2. In a smaller bowl or a jar with a lid, combine the soy sauce, sesame oil and the lemon juice. Whisk or shake ingredients until combined and add to the broccoli salad, tossing thoroughly.

3. Allow salad to marinate in the refrigerator for at least an hour, tossing occasionally.

Quick Meals - Menu Planner:

** Serve broccoli cauliflower salad with baked or grilled chicken and mashed sweet potatoes.

** Add a little more to this broccoli salad and turn it into an entrée by adding sliced leftover steak or cut up cooked cold shrimp and serve on a bed of salad greens.

** If you would like a warm broccoli salad simply steam the broccoli, cauliflower and mushrooms, add the dressing and serve over a bed of warm rice or noodles. Garnish with chopped cashew pieces or sliced almonds.

** For a very simple light meal, serve this broccoli cauliflower salad recipe with warm garlic bread, flavored breadsticks or bagel chips on the side.

If you’d like to add a little variety to this broccoli cauliflower salad, try switching out the mushrooms and adding:

Snow Peas, Sliced or Shredded Carrots or Red Peppers

* Diced Avocado
* Toasted Pine Nuts
* Minced Garlic and/or Fresh Ginger
